TL;DR: We process your CV text temporarily to generate feedback using Google Gemini. We do NOT permanently store the raw text of your CV in our database. We only store the AI-generated feedback (scores, comments) so you can view and share your results.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in the following ways:

Account Information: When you sign in with Google, we store your email address, name, and profile picture URL.
Resume Data: When you upload a PDF, we extract its text to send to our AI provider. The raw PDF file is processed in memory and immediately discarded. The extracted text is NOT saved to our database.
Analysis Results: We store the structured feedback generated by the AI (overall score, section comments) to display your results page and enable the sharing feature.

2. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services to operate ratemyresume.net:

Google Gemini: Used for analyzing the text of your resume. The text is sent to Google's API strictly for processing.
Supabase: Our database provider where we store user accounts and the generated feedback results.
LemonSqueezy: Our payment processor. We do not handle or store your credit card information.

3. Data Security and Sharing

We do not sell your personal information or resume data to third parties. If you choose to share your analysis result link, the AI-generated feedback and score will be publicly accessible via that specific URL. You have control over whether to share this link.

4. Data Deletion

If you wish to delete your account and all associated analysis records, please contact us. Since we do not store the original CV documents or raw text, there is no original document data to delete.
