1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using ratemyresume.net ('the Service'), including by uploading a resume for analysis, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
ratemyresume.net provides AI-powered resume analysis and feedback. The Service includes both free (limited) and paid tiers (full CV analysis using purchased credits). We use third-party AI models (Google Gemini) to process the content of the uploaded resumes. For signed-in users, we store the uploaded PDF in a private storage bucket and the structured analysis result so we can display your marked-up CV, history, and (if you enable it) a shareable link; these are automatically deleted after 30 days. Guest analyses are not stored on our servers.
3. Credits and Payments
Paid analyses require the use of credits. Credits can be purchased through our payment provider, LemonSqueezy. All purchases are final and non-refundable unless otherwise required by law. Credits do not expire.
4. User Responsibilities and Data
You are responsible for the documents you upload. Do not upload documents containing highly sensitive personal information that is not typically included in a resume (such as government ID numbers, banking details, or medical information). You confirm that you have the right to upload the document and that doing so does not violate any third party's rights or applicable law.
5. Privacy and Sharing
Analyses created while you are signed in are private by default: only you can view the analysis and the stored PDF. You may optionally enable public sharing for a specific analysis; anyone with that link can then view the full analysis and PDF until you disable sharing or the analysis expires. Analyses created as a guest (without an account) are not stored on our servers — they exist only in your browser for that session and are lost when you leave or refresh the page. To save history or share a result, please sign in before analyzing.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided 'as is'. The feedback generated by our AI is for informational and entertainment ('Roast Mode') purposes only. We do not guarantee employment, interviews, or the absolute accuracy of the AI-generated feedback.
7. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
